ps1 to PS2 upgrade costs if I already have the boards

I recently purchased a PS1 UP E8 AA set. I long ago purchased a beater PS2 EMD C liner AA set. The PS2 boards are fine. I was wondering 1) is it possible to use the PS2 electronics in the C Liner to upgrade the E8 from PS1 to PS2, 2) any idea of the cost involved, and 3) if anyone here has a recommendation on who can do the work. As always any advise is most appreciated.

Yes it can be done, but condition of the harness and such might come in to play, plus extra work lengthening wires if too short. Plus doing the slave board swap. It will be time consuming but do able. G
