Good morning all. I'm new to this forum. Recently got reinterested in 0 gauge again after a 25 yr. hiatus... wow how things have changed! I recently aquired several MTH steam units with bad boards... a Railking PRR 2-8-2 with PS2 that throws the breaker on my Z1000 and 2 bantam Pacifics with loco-sound that just sit there and loudly buzz. I've tried other boards in all 3 of them and they worked fine. Since I can't buy these boards direct from MTH is there anyone who repairs them or does anyone have any of the PS2 5v steam or loco-sound steam boards for sale?

The replacement for the 5V PS/2 board is the PS32 board, currently they're only available to MTH repair folks. Although I have some 5V boards, I'm loath to sell them as I can't really warranty how long they'll run. I keep them around to fix my own stuff when a 5V board fails. The PS32 board is a direct replacement for the 5V PS/2 board, but the form factor is slightly different, and the connectors are in different places. Normally for a steamer with the boards in the tender, that's not a problem. However, for locomotive mounted boards and some diesels, some "adjustment" of the wiring harness may be needed for the connectors to reach the mating connectors.
So John, when you say MTH folks, do you mean a "MTH Authorized Service Center" like GGG or you, or only MTH in house repair service?
Any MTH tech has access to the parts.
I have some Loco sound board in stock. Yes if you want to do I can sell parts too, but better if ASC does it so you have warranty. Loco sound boards I can sell you. G
OK. Great. How do I contact you to find out how to purchase a couple of Loco sound boards and the price?
