PS2 Diesel Sound Problem

Hi Peter,

That's called the "clickety-clack" sound feature representing the wheel noises of the moving train. It kicks in at about 35 smph. You can disable this feature if you want to stick to normal engine sounds at all speeds through the DCS menu.

Peter, it sounds to me that the "clickety-clack" (sp?) feature is turned on.  It kicks in at 30-35 scale MPH, and when it does, the engine sounds automatically cut out.  You can turn it off in the Settings menu.

Thank you,  Jim.....I hate to have an issue with this engine.....it's probably as rare as actual O&W engines are!

It also highlights why I'm not in a buying mode right now. I don't even know the full capabilities of the engines I have! I am looking forward to dropping nights and weekends starting next year......Having more time will allow me to really explore all the features of my collection!

There are still lots of things in those DCS menus that I've never discovered either, despite having used the system for years and wearing out my copy of Barry's book.

Glad to hear, too, that you're going to scale back the practice - you've earned more time for yourself and your hobbies!
