I have a NOS MTH shell for a GP-38-2. Now that I have it, I started wondering about voltages. I would like to use it on a PS3 Loco, but don't want to burn out headlamps, or other lamps. Any thought would be appreciated!
Mmmmmmmm.....that's what I was afraid of! I assume becuase the volyages are different??
Thanks guys
Not exactly. The PS3 board lighting circuit is set up for LEDs, which draw less current/amps than incandescent light bulbs. Putting PS2 (6V) bulbs on the PS3 LED lighting circuit will damage the lighting circuit on the PS3 board, since it wasn't set up for bulbs.

I am going on the assumption you are planning on swapping all the wiring from one shell into the other. As in taking the PS3 harnesses out and then installing them into the PS2 shell. Correct? Not just swapping the cabs.
