Okay, hopefully this will be the last thread about this! I charged the engine up as the instructions said (actually, it was only a few hours at a time, but rather than 6-7 hours, totaling more like 10 hours), but I am still having trouble. It sounds great at slow speeds, but at high speeds, the sound is terrible. It actually cut out a time or two. I took a video which gives a glimpse of what it is doing:

 

 

Do you think it is just the battery? I plan on getting a BCR for it at York, so that would not be an issue. However, if it is something more, I would want to get that fixed before I introduce something new to the equation.

The change in sound you're hearing is a result of abruptly increasing the voltage and putting the sound system into the labored chuff function when it tries to quickly accelerate. If you slowly roll up the handle (or use DCS), then you shouldnt encounter the labored chuff very often. While PS2 can run in conventional, its obviously designed for being run with DCS, and thats when it runs its best.

 

I dont hear a problem with the soundset.
