I purchased this trolley new about a month ago and just got around to testing it via my PS2 system. As background, I have installed a few PS3 engines with no issues. When I added the trolley, it was installed as #1. All my other engines were added with their actual road names and engine model. But maybe trolleys are different . I can live with "#1". But my issue is: the trolley does not boot up. Lights come on with track power, start up button does nothing , the unit will move when the accelerator actuator is rolled in forward or reverse. The sound is completely garbled and very loud. After stopping, I selected power down. That did nothing. Lights remained on with no sounds. Thus, I am asking knowledgeable forum members if it appears the trolley is defective or if there is a home work around to straighten things out. If possible, I would like to avoid shipping it back to the retailer (a forum sponsor).

So far, no responses, so did an engine removal and reinstall. This time the unit was correctly identified; otherwise same as before. It seems to be stuck in conventional mode. The two "bell buttons" on the remote do operate the appropriate sounds. Forward and reverse work, but that's about it. The interior lighting is strange. Light bulb at each end works, but the middle of the trolley is not getting any light. It appears there is something inside blocking the windows. It looks weird to say the least. Does anyone here have this model trolley? I have no idea what the lighting is supposed to look like.
I would try a conventional reset and feature reset and see if that fixes it sometimes it is simple as a reset and all is well! I'd try one horn, and five bell presses and she should sound the horn twice right after indicating a conventional reset condition. I'd make sure there's nothing else on the track at the time. only this engine!

I think you should read up on the DCS system and how it works. Your wanting an engine to add to some number doesn't mean that's how it is.
