PS3 locomotives conventionally with lionel powermaster | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Hi, I don't have DCS. I have TMCC with a CAB1, Base 1, and a power master to run conventional engines. This is powered by a 135watt lionel PH1 brick.

My question: Can I conventionally run a PS3 loco (with the CAB1 thru the power master) and get the engine sounds, bell, and whistle? I know PS1 is picky with tranformers and I don't have any PS2 or PS3 engines yet. I just want to be sure I know what I'm getting into before I jump on a PS3 engine.

I do plan to eventually get DCS once the great shortage is sorted.

Sure, that is most definitely supported.

PS3 easily detects normal bell and whistle/horn DC offsets as generated by a powermaster.
