FYI.

I purchased a couple of MTH's Railking 19th Century engines and some freight, passenger and cannon cars to run on our 3 rail TTAT Club layout as they have a lot of crowd appeal.  The kids really like them.  Bright colors.  High pitched whistles, etc.  It's been a lot of fun running them at shows.  Even the more serious minded "jaded" model railroaders seem to get a kick out of them.

Anyway, it turned out that my new Railking PS3 W.A.R.R. 4-4-0 19th Century steam engine has very low smoke output.  Way less than usually found with typical MTH Railking or Premier engines.

So, I called MTH.  Turned out that they knew about the condition and emailed me the attached fix.   So, I'm passing it on for those of you who may need it.  You can do it yourself or if  it's under warranty you can get an RA from MTH and send it in.
