PS3 Shuts down when changing direction

I have a PS3 engine that I use in conventional mode, After powering up the engine so that the capacitor is charged it will shut down as if no power is stored in the capacitor during directional changes causing to restart like at first power up. Any ideas as to the problem?

can you take it to a shop or person's house that has DCS?? I ask because in a PS2 engine there is a check you can do to see if the charger is working - the BAT check. I don't own PS3 engines, which I know don't have a battery, but maybe that same command can tell you if the capacitor charging unit is working.
