Currently installing PS3 into a Trainmaster and there doesn't appear to be any upgrade soundfiles on the MTH site for this engine. There are no soundfile links for the one PS3 production engine. Any suggestions... ???

Can you not use a PS2 Upgrade sound file with the PS32 Diesel Chain File? There are plenty of those.

How about MTH item 30-20239-1 there is a PS 3.0 file for download there. I believe it supports mars light as well as number boards, marker lights etc.

I wasn't sure about this. We are doing our first install, and, unfortunately, the unit was gutted before us and re-powered with a DCRU. We sort of shooting in the dark here. So am I to understand that any Diesel Chain File would work with any Diesel Sound File? This is definitely a learning experience for us.

Not exactly.
I assumed, perhaps incorrectly, that you were using a PS32 board to do the upgrade. If you were, you could load the PS32 Diesel Chain File and any PS2 3 volt Trainmaster Sound File, i.e., a Trainmaster PS2 Upgrade Sound File.
