A couple of follow up questions,

  When performing an upgrade from P2 to P3 (kit or P2/3 board) are there any special steps that need to be taken to ensure that the measured loco speed is accurate?  Is there an algorithm in the sound file?

  And, when upgrading F-3AA diesels from P2 to P3 using an upgrade kit, I recall reading that MTH recommends installing two kits, one in each powered A unit ($$$$$s).   Does the P2/3 upgrade path only require a change only to the primary A unit?
