PS3/TIU

I have the new PS3 Monorail ordered. It will be my first PS3 unit. What TIU version is required to operate PS3? I am a "if it's not broke, don't fix it" kind of guy and my TIU hasn't been upgraded in quite a while.

Doc,

Any TIU and remote are capable of operating PS3 engines provided that their software is new enough.

If you're using DCS 2.x, you must upgrade or risk being unable to operate all of the features of your PS3 engine. In fact, there have been reports of PS3 engines not operating on DCS 2..x at all.

If you're using DCS 4.x but lower than 4.10, you should upgrade because those releases were buggy.

Anything 4.10 or higher should be OK.
