Unfortunately, the individual who was the only one I sent my Prewar & Postwar trains to for issues, has from what I understand, passed away.

What options do we have left out there high-caliber repair and someone who actually understood the old Lionel Corp.? I used to use Dennis Waldron and he will be missed.

Thx

John

There are guys out there still that work on the older stuff.  I did for about 15 years for a local Lionel shop.  I did all the locomotive and freight/passenger car repair work.  He had a guy that specialized in transformers and that was fine with me.  I can overhaul F3s and postwar steamers in my sleep.  If you have any local clubs in your area, ask them.  Many times these guys sort of fly "under the radar" and work from home.  So you have to find them thru someone else.   You might post where you live in the USA, shipping has gotten quite expensive and adds risk to the process if one has to shop models cross country to be worked on.  A local guy is always best.  Good luck in your search.      AD
