Question about Lionel 671 PRR Steam Engine

Hey guys...came across a 671 today that is stamped on the bottom "S-2 Turbo Locomotive" Made is the U.S. of America, The Lionel Corppration New York.

I don't recall ever seeing one stamped "S-2 Turbo" Any ideas as to what year it was built (46-49) and how odd is it?
