I'll start off by saying that I don't own the locomotive, but I believe the locomotive and tender can do O36 like The Alton and The Blue Comet.  The passenger cars say they require O54, but are rumored to work at O48.

If you running The Crescent with it's cars, then O54 is recommended.  Hope that helps, but I'm sure someone that owns the set will chime in.

Matt Fox,

Having a Lionel Legacy Shay Engine that actually runs thru 036 curves when running the engine alone, but needed major altering to pull rolling stock thru 036 curves and switches, I caution you on your purchase, especially if your layout is 036 engineered.  From my understanding of this beautiful train, it runs thru 054 curves as a full train pulling rolling stock, but when pulling it's original rolling stock, the train has major problems with 036 curves, which is the exact same way my Legacy Shay operates.  My recommendation is to see one of these complete trains run on an 036 layout yourself, before you purchase, or rebuild your layout with at least 054 & larger curves.  It is rumored that this full train will accommodate 048 curves and switches, however I have not witnessed it myself.

P E 1225,

Go to the Looking to Buy forum and start a thread saying I am looking for a Lionel Legacy PS4 Pacific Southern Cresent with or without (your choice) matching passenger cars. It is best to have the specific Lionel part numbers for what you are looking to Buy.

Also watch the For Sale or Trade forum every day. I have seen Blue Comets and Ashton Limited Legacy trains listed I am sure a Souther Cresent will sooner or latter hit.

Also state what you are willing to pay if you get any offers.
