Will the new Atlas O freight cars come equipped with .145" wheels? I'd like to know so that if they don't I'll probably end up buying the smaller wheels.

In there Aug 2 2012 anouncement of the new trucks there is no mention of a change in wheel sizes.
I am not sure if the new Atlas truck wheelsets are .145 or not, however they are most definately thinner than the older wheelset versions. They are on the new coil cars, and I do like the look of them. Plus the truck frames are noticably narrower. Atlas diid a good job on the re-design of the trucks!
Last measurement I did on a set of new Atlas 100-Ton trucks #7066 the tire width (N) was slightly over the code 175 NMRA RP-25 spec. The thread width (W) was also slightly over code 175.
IIRC, The new Atlas 70-ton truck #7065 measured much closer to code 145. The tire width (N) was slightly over like in the .150 range as was the thread width (W) close to the NMRA RP-25 spec.
So as long as the new Atlas cars are coming with the 70-ton trucks or just have the smaller 33" wheel, it should be close.
