I have a tinplate sign of the 1926 Lionel catalog cover. Was the track plan featured ever actually published or otherwise created? As only part of the layout is visible, I am trying to picture the rest of the layout would go together as it looks like it would make a decent track plan to attempt to replicate.

i have a picture of the 1926 catalog cover, but the earliest complete catalog i have is 1928.
here is a layout pictured in that one...
i would guess that it is generally in the same style as the 1926 cover.

It's close, but the 1926 cover has that 90-degree crossing on the left side that helps make the layout look bigger (at least from the angle it's illustrated from). Nevertheless, it still helps generate more ideas. Thanks.
There is a Standard Gauge layout pictured in the 1926 catalog, but it is not the same as the one on the cover. It is quite similar to the picture posted by overland flyer, but it has a pair of stub sidings inside the inner loop instead of what looks like a passing siding, and some other small detail difference.
