I have a question about Ross Rowland. I know that he has ran 759 and is a contributor of the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society, but has he ever ran 765? It seems that he would know what he is doing, I listen to Nick Ozorak's podcast and Ross said that he was running trains in the yard at age 12. Please let me know.

And to Mike CT. No one was injured, and the situation was under control. Guys like Zach Hall who were there know what they are doing, and there is always a safety meeting before a big task. And re-railing a 400,000 pound steam locomotive is no easy task.

Brody, always happy to see teenagers interested in this hobby.  Come look up the FWRHS crew sometime.  What part of the world do you live in?

I live in Warren, Indiana, about 30 miles south of Fort Wayne. I am a member of the FWRHS, but I live an hour away and I'm only 15, but I go out there sometimes during events. And I plan on being part of the crew, and I have already had a taste of that, but there is a story, so buckle up!

It was August 20th, 2016, and I was at the FWRHS' Member Day. It was later in the day, and I had already had my cab ride in 765/767, dinner, and had met a few volunteers, notably Kelly Lynch, Zach Hall, and Jason Sobczynski. I was actually looking for Rich, but he wasn't there. I was standing by the shops watching 765/767 run back and forth on the lead track, when Kelly approached me with a MacBook. He asked if I was Brody Brown, I gave him his answer, and he told me that I was one of the throttle time winners. This had only been the third third time I had seen 765 under steam, and now I was going to get behind the throttle, with Zach Hall acting as the "Pilot Engineer." This video explains the rest:

I'm only two years older than you and the best I've got is operating the Cagney at Strasburg! You sure are lucky to have been in the cab of such a large engine.
