Question about switch signals | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

As I get closer to building my layout I had a question about switch signals.

I am using Atlas track and switches, with tortise switch machines. So what are you all using as a signal to indicate the state of the switch?

I assume there is a physical signal that can be used near the switch, but is there also a way to have a LED (green/red) at the control panel of the switches.

Thanks for the input...it's been a long time since I had a layout and a lot has changed!

Yes, the tortoise machines have internal relays which can to used to change lights on the control panel to show which way the switch is thrown. In this picture the red and green are doing that.
