Hi,

I was wondering if the derailment feature of the 022 switches would allow me to run two trains at once, one on eht inner loop and one on the next to the outer loop.  I am guessing that I would need to contantly control the speed of one engine so that both do nto end up at the switch at the same time.  I know that I would have to have insulating pins in the switches and separate power supplies for each loop.  I plan on having a dedicated power line to each switch.  Based on the photos below is that possible or am I not utilizing the switches correctly?

   Thank you,

     Kevin

Yes, you can connect the switches together so that when the train on the inside line enters either switch the non-derailing feature will also throw the other switch so that when the train crosses the common section of track it will stay on the inside line. Also, if the train on the outside line gets there first it will throw both switches so it stays on the outside line. That said, how you power the common section of track between the switches is up to you. I'd insulate the center rail and connect a single-pole double throw toggle switch to it so you could flip power back and forth between the outer and inner lines.
