Is it the BCR manufacturer that says .... Apply power in reset mode? If so he may be referring to proto-1 engines.
You may want to delete the engine from the remote and try adding it back again... Give the BCR a minute or so to charge .
Ken,
As Gregg states above, "Reset Mode" is a PS1 term. It has no meaning as regards a PS2 or PS3 engine.
I thought it was "Reset State".
Ok, thank you.
So I removed the original battery (white) from the PS2 engine and installed the orange 9v BCR replacement. Put the engine on the track and let it sit with voltage to it. When I try to start nothing happens engine wise. On the remote it gives the message engine in remote.
I tried removing the engine and reinstalling still the same message.
What am I doing wrong?
Thank you in advance for your response,
Ken
Ken,
When I try to start nothing happens engine wise. On the remote it gives the message engine in remote.
What do you mean by "try to start"?
The message means just what it says: the remote thinks that the engine is already present in the remote, perhaps in the Inactive Engine List. However, you would get this message when you try to add an engine, not when you press Startup.
This and a whole lot more is all in “The DCS Companion 3rd Edition!" This book is available from many fine OGR advertisers and forum sponsors, or as an eBook or a printed book at OGR’s web store! |
You need to scroll to the engine and make sure on active list. Than press start up. G
Maybe scroll through the engine list (inactive and inactive) and look for anything unusual. EX an ID with no name. If you did not use a programming track this type of thing happens.
The fix and not a very good one would be to reset the remote clearing out any ID conflicts. However everything will be deleted from the remote except TIU #1.
