Jack, I thought about you after reading the recent thread about the 4449. I just wondered if you were on the crew for the move between L.A. and the Ferrum track connection with the Kaiser Railroad for the Tough Guys movie work. The reason I ask is that I was part of a pilot crew that came on board the engine between West Colton and Ferrum down by the Salton Sea that day. I didn't know anybody at the time except Doyle and I don't remember who was firing.
