Gentlemen,
I am thinking about using some Ross switches on my next FasTrack layout, before going down this road
I need to definitely know Ross switches will accommodate my old and new Tin Plate Engines and rolling stock. I need to know they will not derail my Tin Plate trains.

As you see below I use old 072 Lionel switches right now on every level of my layout.

Al Clair,

I did get to talk to Steve at Ross, the Term Tin Plate Switches is really a mis nomer.

Although the switches are  made to replicate the Lionel originals, to match the Tin Plate tracks they may not accommodate all original Tin Plate Trains.   In fact Ross has not tested them for the running of Tin Plate Trains.  I will test a pair of them on my next layout to see what actually happens.  It's no wounder I could get no answer to this question, the new Ross Switches many not accommodate original Tin Plate Trains, I will need to test them on my own layout myself.
