Picked up a Marx 1420 crossing shanty in very good working condition (no scratches).
The question is about the man.
Did Marx paint the figure face/hair or was it just left the blue plastic?
Does anyone make a reproduction or sell originals stop sign that is in his hand? (looked on line but so far I saw the pin that holds the figure to the door and the chimney for the shanty).
How did the sign attach to the figures hand?

From what I see on the few I checked, the man was just blue plastic, no highlighting of features. The sign was blank and white litho steel, clamped to his wrist. See Photos….

I emailed Grossman to see if they sell the pin that holds the man to the door. Right now it is just taped to the door.
The hole piece is in great condition and will go good with my Marx Girard whistle station.
