Prices have been dropping fairly steady on these since Lionel released the cab 1L.

Complicate that with no more parts availability due to obsolete electronics, once they fail, they go in the trash.

If your looking to sell it, I wouldn't delay, while you can still get a "few" bucks for it.

Why not? It will run TMCC or legacy trains won't it? It has the same simple numerical keyboard setup as the cab1 and fuctions in the same manner, just updated internal electronics and the ability to "quill" the whistle on a legacy loco.

For that matter the legacy 990 could be considered a "replacement" albiet a premium, but a replacement nontheless.

Cab 1 sets were going for around $175 prior to the release of the CAB1L. I've seen them now going for more realistic prices like the $110-$115 you mentioned earlier.

Just because someone asks a particular price doesn't mean their going to get it.

Anyone who pays $175 for a used cab1 is a fool, since a BRAND NEW CAB1L can be had for $179.  Lionel Cab 1L

Just my $.02, if Joe can get $175, more power to him I've had 3 of the throttle knobs fail, one right out of the package. This was back when there was still a warranty and replacements available.

We're splitting hairs here, PM1 yes TPC no. A TPC works with TMCC or legacy.

Unless I misunderstood Joe is selling handheld and base. If your spending $175 to get a handheld with an extra base to replace just the handheld your still wasting money.

If you can get $175, it makes even more sense to sell and upgrade, powermaster and all. The new system is only $4 more.

Maybe Joe will tell us how much he gets so we can end this debate
