Ok so here is my question, I am a huge N&W fan and as such have books and movies and articles out the wazoo on them but now I want to further my knowledge on the NKP. Can you all recommend some good reading on the NKP...it's history/development/equipment and so on? Thanks in advance for the help.

I'd start with the NKP historical society (nkphts.org). There's a brief history lesson on the website, and the "company store" has a pretty good size listing of books.
One of my favorite all times books in "Berkshires of the Nickel Plate". Hard to find but there are some on Amazon every now and then.
Read The Nickel Plate Story by John Rehor, copyright Kalmbach 1965. Very good.

It wouldn't hurt to get any "in Color" books about the NKP. While usually short on precise history and details, they usually provide good visual references.

I will start looking for those books and take a good look at the historical society. Thanks for the help/information everyone, I appreciate it.
Yes I have watched that, what a great film. Always worth another look... Thanks.
