I have an AF S gauge engine I am getting ready for an ERR  Cruise "lite" I plan to install. I am wondering how it will wire differently from an O gauge engine.  Is the polarity a factor in how the board will be wired?  This is the board I'll be using.

If the loco is running on AC, then simply follow the diagram as is, but use the 3rd Rail and Common connections attached to the feeders from each rail.  We normally use the right rail, as AC Hot.  the left rail as AC common.  The right / left rail reference is based on the loco moving away from you, in the forward direction.

 I read your last post here and yes you can use that lockout as your program switch. A question for you, does this engine have all wheel power pickup, I have not seen the inside of any of these GPs with the vertical motors.

I see from this picture that it looks as though you are not using an anti-static mat, be careful of that. You can ruin the motor driver boards with static charges.

Hi Ray. Yes it has 2 power pickups on the rear truck and the powered truck. Funny you mention but I have an anti-static mat and wrist bracelet coming from Amazon today! The boards should be here next week.

From what that chassis looks like you will have much more room in there for the Cruise Lite and the Sound Commander then the older models of those. finding a place for the speaker will now be a snap.
