I guess I never paid much attention before until today when wife asked why the Bell sound is so low? Everything else is loud, engines and horn, but she's right, the bell sound is very low. Is this normal for this release? I checked several other Lionel engines and the bells are loud, as are my other engines. Not a biggy, but curious if this is normal for this engine. Thanks

If all the other sounds are at normal volume, including the horn, then I suspect that's the way the sound chip was programmed.
I have noticed that the bell sound on some mid to late 90's RailSounds diesels is much lower than the horn and prime mover sounds. So it's more than likely that the unit was programmed that way.
You know that bells can be annoying... Like Hells Bells!
Did you notice that each of the Shark A units has uniquely different sounds? I always thought that was a great feature!

Yes I did. One reason I enjoy running them.
