I just received my Western Hobbycraft Trolley (3 rail) and only had a few minutes to look at it. First let me say it looks great, Walt made a great product. it has a nice feel to it and is a great legacy for him to leave behind

I have a couple of question about them

1) It only has one pickup roller. So I things its safe to assume that it cannot cross switches etc without losing power.

2) What is the minimum curve it can handle?

3) The second wheelset (without the pickup roller) is stiff, the wheels do not seem to spin freely. Is this a powered wheelset (Like I said only glanced briefly before I had to head to work)

4) I seem to remember there were some problems with the cantenary poles, either they were tough to assemble or very fragile, anyone else rememember anything about them?

5) What are some mods people have made to them? I would love to get it to be TMCC controlled via an ERR setup, just not sure if that is doable

I was hoping that mine would be able to handle Superstreets 16" diameter curves but it wouldn't. I think 21" diameter was the tightest it would run on.

TMCC is no problem. Walt used to sell them that way along with sounds for specific trolley stops in the Johnstown version. No sure if anyone is doing a trolley railsounds board for them now.

Not sure what the problem is with the wheels on yours. Mine runs OK.
