Last month I was able to buy two boards, part number on bag is 691PCB810D0 it replaces the board in Lionel's SD70 which was 691PCB8124. Now when I put these in the search box, I get back, 0 records found, seems rather odd...

Since you didn't post the actual stock number of the locomotive, this is just a guess. It's about a 98% chance that the locomotive uses one of these two boards.

I have no idea what numbers they put on the bags, but they frequently don't make sense to me. 
Someone has wrong numbers. 691-PCB1-0D0 is the obsolete number for the 691-R2LC-C07 radio board.
691-PCB1-0C4 is the sound board for a SD70.
Maybe you should look in the bag Marty, you may have a RailSounds board instead of the R2LC. 
The correct R2LC for the SD-70MAC produced in 2000 is as I previously stated, the 691R2LCC08 part, at least according to the Lionel parts site.
