I took my MTH C&O Greenbrier over to my friends layout to check out his new Lionel N&W Mallet.  This is a video of their "race" on the Sleepy Hollow layout.  The Lionel is a great engine and is the only scale articulated I know of that will run on O-54 curves.  Not an issue on the Sleepy Hollow's min O-72 curves.  I love that red under firebox glow and smoking whistle.  The steam chest effect on the MTH Greenbrier is from over filling the smoke unit.  As always, your comments and replies are welcomed.  Be sure to click on the Youtube link to watch it in HD.

A very nice layout and entertaining video. I really enjoyed it all three times I watched it.

I was also impressed with many of your structures that appear to be kitbashed, like the four story building midway through the video.  It looks like you used several Lionel Municipal buildings and Lionel's coaling station.  I would love to see more of your buildings and perhaps a description of how they were built.

Thanks again for a great video.

Happy railroading,

Don

Thanks all for the kind replies, I love steamers and I'm glad to share.  The Sleepy Hollow layout belongs to OGR member Sleepy Hollow.  He created/constructed all of the scenery items on the layout.  He got some help from his Bullrun HiRailers club mates with the track plan and benchwork but he deserves all of the accolades for his scenery artistry.  Check out the Sleepy Hollow playlist on my YouTube channel for more videos of this wonderful layout in progress.
