Before my family went to our vacation in Whistler, Canada, we stopped in Seattle for some sight-seeing. While we were there, I stopped by the BNSF mainline to see some rail action. I found a really cool and active crossing, to bad it is a quiet zone. Enjoy!

Alaskan Way and Broad Street is a great place to watch trains.  Too bad Shakey's Pizza is gone.  Lunch with trains out the window was fun.

You caught some interesting equipment.  The ex-Amtrak boxcar, NS shove platform, SD60Ms and GP60Bs are all pretty rare.  You even caught an ex-GN Big Sky Blue wood chip car.

The Empire Builder was nice to see, especially with two units on the point.  Amtrak has been running it with only one lately.
