LT it certainly was a beautiful day for a train ride. Thanks for sharing. Watching the first video, the way the spark arrestor on the stack caused the smoke to billow gave me the illusion that the smoke was going downward as it exited the stack.
@coach joe I've always been fascinated by the Shays. I'm trying to learn more about them.
You had a beautiful day for it! The first time I was there it was so hazy, you couldn't see anything from the top. A few years later, my wife and I went, and the skies were much more accommodating. The Shays are always great!
Wow! We just missed each other. My wife and I were at Cass on the 4th to ride the Greenbriar Express pulled by #4. (The Bald Knob train was sold out 
) Your photos and videos look identical to mine. We must have stood in the same spots! It was a beautiful week to be at Cass. The leaves were changing and a lot of color variation. Absolutely beautiful!

I had the pleasure of visiting Cass back in June 1985 (is it that long ago?). It was a great trip, especially the ride up to Bald Knob.
