Too bad, as that is the same weekend as the 2-Rail O Scale Chicago Meet, which might be the largest 2-Rail O Scale meet in the nation.

You would think that the show organizers would look at the calender of other events that could be a conflict. The Chicago 2-Rail show us a big one and draws a large attendance.
I'm planning on being there Saturday, provided that the snowstrom we're having right now begins to subside. I have just a couple of items that I need to pick up. One is a couple of grain of wheat light bulbs. Sure hope someone brings a few. Other than that: I'll keep my eyes and mind's eye open.
I noticed that they were advertising this meet on TV Sunday evening on the NGEO presentation of Alaska Railroad. Now that's pretty smart on behalf of the show promoters. Good tie in to a show that railfans will certainy be watching.

Good suggestion, especially since the Hill family has been organizing the March Meet for probably over 25 years. It is definitely well attended, and with modelers from wall over the world, and the U.S.A.
I'm definitely going on Saturday at the opening. Since Kirtland is only about 4 miles from my house will probably go at closing on Sunday to bargain shop. Not really looking for anything in particle and hoping to keep my York cash mostly in tact.
Flying back from DC on Friday night. Plan on heading over with the family on Sat.
If you are looking for 2-rail you wouldn't want to pass up Chicago for this show. Even though I will be looking for 2 rail stuff this show is mostly HO, N, and O 3R.

This is a very good point. Railfest has been this weekend for over 30 years at Lakeland and the show is over 40 years. Also the show is tied to when the College has its spring break, as we take over the who AFC center.
Nope, too far away.
I'll be at Chicago
Show opens at 10 am both days
Tom,
Just thought we would mention that OGR will be there both days. In case you missed the other thread

The tables are all set and ready for the dealer to load-in today. Weather is great, high today 50, Sat 45, and Sunday 40 and no snow!
Planning on making the trip, even thought there is NOTHING that I need!! It is so close to home I figured why not!

Still packing up for the Show. Don't know how we are going to get all the OGR Goodies in the SUV, but we are MOTIVATED!
See you at Kirtland.

A bit too far for me so I will attend the small meet at Gilbertsville, Pa. instead on Sunday, 3/16/14.
Good show and thanks to the many volunteers that make this run smoothly. Got there at 10 and the place was packed. Good mix of older guys and younger families. Stayed for about 2 1/2 hours walking the 3 gyms and 3 other rooms. Lots of O gauge including one gentleman selling off his private collection since he is downsizing and moving. Great deals from him getting 6 mth premier corrugated auto carriers for 30 each. Even got the one that he wired to have a end of line signal on it for the same price. Also picked up his k-line wind turbine new in box for 20. Not a bad day and was able to keep to York funds mostly in tact.
