I got my CP Holiday Dash 8 and of course it had one of the rows of LEDs out.  When I disassembled it, I found one of the wires going to the upper LEDs was pinched between the shell and frame.  I was able to repair it but what I didn't notice when I first tested the engine, one of the 2 LEDs in the headlight was also out.  Because the decoration LEDs are so delicate, I don't want to just take it apart again unless there is a chance I can repair the headlight.  Does anyone know if the 2 LEDs in the headlight are an assembly with only one power connection? Or is there a power connection for each LED?  I know I can send it back for warranty repair but I don't mind taking a bit of my time to fix it if it means I don't have to wait weeks to get it back.

The easiest way would be to just order the part, but it could be repaired. They both are connected to one plug. They are 3mm flangeless leds. I just changed a PS2 to leds, and also repositioned the leds to the shell instead of the bracket on the motor. They are now really bright and their light doesn't bleed into the cab. I have some pictures if you are interested.
