Just looked at the MTH 2017 Vol 1 catalog.  After looking at some older recent catalogs, can anyone explain why a Premier double-door boxcar retails for $69.95, but a RailKing Husky Stack now seems to list for $74.95?

I remember when the RK Husky Stacks were $38 at street price, now they're like $65+ street.  I get inflation, but it just seems off-kilter that MSRP for RK is more than a Premier.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Well, I was actually expecting the responses similar to those from Dave and Jim.  Putting it a little more into perspective http://mthtrains.com/20-95172 is a 2016 Premier Husky Stack that has an MSRP of $79.95.  So, that's essentially a $5 difference  between RK and Premier for similar offerings.

In 2005 the MSRP of RK was $54.95 and Premier was $54.95.  I know back then I actually paid $38 for the RK.

So, at this point, I give up.  They seem to have gone up $20 and $25 respectively since I last purchased new inventory.  I guess it's all sticker shock and denial.

Sorry,

Fred

Fred, that was 11 years ago. I'm sure we would all like pricing from 11 years ago. The prices are up from everyone across the board.
