30-20583-1, bought used from forum member, has “Train #17, Super Chief, arriving” PSA. Original owner states PSA sounds in engine as delivered. Any other owners notice this peculiarity?

It's easy to swap sound files, so I wouldn't be surprised if it just had a different than stock file loaded at some point before you got the model.
Yup, same thing here. I bought a 30-20583-1 Santa Fe MP15DC new in box, from the dealer and noticed the same thing with mine. It had zero hours/zero miles when I got it so I assumed this was the sound file loaded at the factory...for whatever reason...by mistake or intentional???
I sold two of these for a friend who purchased them directly from Pat's Trains. He only runs conventional so never addresses extra sound features. I could not change the sounds using a computer to save my life! I just checked the one that has not yet been shipped and it also has passenger (Santa Fe Chief) announcements. I am pretty confident that they came from the factory with this sound file.
Happy railroading,
Don
I bought a subway set brand new and it had the wrong sound file. I changed it to the correct one.
