Hi guys, I'm airslide shopping and found a relatively familiar scheme that caught my eye. The famous (or infamous) yellow shell plastics scheme

Is this scheme prototypical of that type of airslide and if so what was it used for?

usually plastic pellets , flour or any light material that could be discharged with vacuum. not sure if it represents an actual paint scheme or not. try doing a google search of the cars reporting mark and number.
Might be a case for the "good enuf" file. Via Google, I found one prototype Shell Plastics hopper (SCPX 3525) except is was a cylindrical hopper, not an Airslide. The paint scheme is prototypical otherwise.
