Its Memorial Day weekend so Monday’s episode of “Trains and Locomotives” is titled “Railroads in Wartime”.  This is a repeat but worth watching as it focuses on how railroads played an important role in supporting our country’s efforts in world wars.  Among other things it shows soldiers on troop trains and flat cars transporting tanks and other military vehicles.  I’m sure that many of the soldiers pictured as passengers in those troop trains did not return but gave the ultimate sacrifice for our nation.

Trains & Locomotives is on the RFD-TV network from 5 to 6 pm Eastern Time, 4 pm central, etc. and is located on channel 345 on Direct TV and I believe channel 231 on Dish.  Some cable systems carry it also so check your local provider or google “RFD-TV” for more info.

And at 3:30 pm eastern time on Mondays, they carry the “I Love Toy Train” video series which as the name implies focuses on toy and model trains.
