I am reassembling my O scale train layout after 10 years in storage. The original layout ran on conventional wiring but for the new one I put together a MTH DCS plus a Lionel Command Base setup so I can run both MTH and TMCC engines. All five of my engines are running despite the time in storage. But I have an issue with a K-Line RS3 diesel ((K2481-0445) that is equipped with Lionel Railsounds and TMCC. Although it runs fine it makes no sound, not even the bell and whistle.
The original instruction's manual provides direction for reprogramming the LCRU circuit board using the Lionel command sysytem and that may fix the issue. But I do not have a Lionel remote and given the price for one on eBay I would prefer not to invest in one.
So any suggestions on how to restore Railsound features from the learned forum readers? Thanks is advance.
