so I have had his kit a while, will probably outlive me! One of the pieces is warped kind of twisted in fact. Long ago, I recall someone explaining to me that placing it in an oven(really?) at some gentle heat might reform it by softening it up. Does anyone here know what temperature and for how long?  Been too scared to attempt it, all these years.  Next week  it will be Placed on a table as is OR it might be reformed or squared up, given I have the courage. The worst that can happen is the part melts and is no longer the part!  Anyway I am waiting to see if steps can safely be taken.

thanks much, Leroof.

I built this kit many years ago.  From what I remember the walls are quite thick. Mine didn't have warped walls. But some sanding was required to get the walls to square up. The roof weighs a ton being one solid casting.

I've always been nervous about putting things in ovens. I've had good luck leaving them out in direct sun this time of year.  I used some 1x2's. Placing one in the center where it's warped  and one each on each end. When it feels like it's warming up. I slowly tighten  the 2 clamps just a little at a time throughout the day until it straightens out.

Cookie sheet with oven at Warm. Keep a very close eye on it until it flattens and then yank it out.

Depending on resin this may prove "aromatic".  Fair warning given.....
