"HONGZ" stands for HO scale, N scale, G scale, and Z scale.
Post your non-O scale stuff here!

WOWSA! AWESOME! :-) Thank you for sharing!
Beautiful trains of varying vintage, I assume?
Looks great! I see some European equipment! Marklin HO is simply the best!
Looks great and large, what are dimensions ?
Fantastic layout! I think I even spied a little Marklin "M" track in one of the photos.
I'm glad I'm not the only member on the forum, with a shared fondness for Marklin.

I believe you would find others here who share the same fondness for Marklin.
I've really admired their system and reliability of operation. One gentleman at work had a Marklin layout and was a member of a local club. They would show their traveling layout and I was always impressed by what they were able to achieve.
There is a lot to be said about German engineering. When applied to peaceful purposes, they can't be beat.
Awesome layout. Thank you for sharing those photos. I hope we'll see more in the future.
The Märklin system is a tribute to German engineering and manufacturing craftsmanship.
I completely understand the charm of Marklin HO, but I dabbled in it once and found I much preferred the Austrian-built, DC, 2 rail Roco stuff...FWIW.

Amazing layout! My dad always loved when Marklin would come out with US locos and rolling stock, because they had some great detail and were solidly built!
He always wanted me to concentrate on Marklin and Fleischmann for my vintage HO, and I've done that here and there, as I can find them.
Now to put together a little layout with those vintage trains! Truly moving art!
Great looking layout.

Thank you! And a pleasure to share! I collect the new generation F7s which has been re-tooled with a lot of detail.
The vintage F7s I have were upgraded to the ESU system with sound which runs on Marklin.

Thank you sir! I have a DSB (Danish) loco with 9 DB (German) passenger cars. Not prototypical at all but a beautiful consist.

Thank you! The design is asymmetrical so around 22 X 22.

Thank you! Yes, you spied right🤣Since I have a bunch of sidings, I used M Track cause C Track can get costly.
Your layout looks amazing! Do you have a youtube channel that you share videos on?
Love Marklin!

Their system is tops! Easy to wire and reliable as heck!
The CS 2 (their version of DCC) is easy to navigate.
German Engineering are tops. Although I did own a BMTroubleyou and if the logistics dont support the product, inevitably it will fail.

Thank you for your comment! And thank you for sharing your story!
Now build a layout and run those trains!😂

@FatBoy Thank you for posting the photos of their controller.
Unfortunately I'm not very familiar with DCC/Legacy operation and definitely Marklin as well.
But out of curiosity, in the photo above, the F7 184 B&O has a scale that runs from 0 - 10 km/h and the PA1 1251 PRR has a scale that runs from 0 - 180 km/h, is this something you preset prior to running the engines?

That consist would be very prototypical for a train running from Hamburg to Copenhagen while running on DSB (Danish) rails in the 1970's and 80's prior to Danish electrification. You can see complete trains from one country behind "host railroad" power all over Europe.
Beautiful my friend!!

Trust me, Don, you are not the only Marklin HO enthusiast around here. I may be the editor of an O gasuge magazine, but I also have long been a Marklin HO enthusiast. I don't have a layout up and running--yet--but I do plan to clean up a ready-built dealer display layout that Marklin provided to FAO Schwarz many years ago. Bought it at a train meet several years ago.
I want to replace the M track and switches because the trackwork really needs a good cleanup, but would prefer to simply replace it with new (or almost new) M track. Once that is done, I can attend to cleaning-up the original scenery and accessories, which are all in place and pretty much undamaged. I have a large collection of the Marklin Kof switchers, which are my favorite HO locomotives. Also have an abundance of rolling stock and other Marklin steam locomotives. The Kofs will look great on this small dealer display layout. Marklin made and continues to make some great stuff.
question for fatboy and other marklin enthusiasts. can ESU's cab control box and hand held controller run these marklin trains?
I ask because I would like a wireless handheld control system if I were to start a marklin layout someday.
