Great pictures of a great layout.

Beautiful layout. Interesting track work. Nice job!
Very nice layout & photos.
Impressive layout, thanks for the photos.
I was at the show. The layout was very nicely done. The Raritan Valley High Railers put on a marvelous display. Their modular layout has quite a bit more detail than most modular layouts that I have seen; many scratch built structures, a transfer table, engine house and even a center section with a roundhouse, turntable and an industrial area. It must have taken an entire days time to set up this layout.
Your layout was fantastic! So much going on. The detail of your buildings were wonderful. Well done! Fantastic show!!!!
Thanks for the picture tour. Very nice layout, do you know if they connect the tracks with pins at the module joints?
That's one very, very fine looking layout. Thanks for taking and posting the photos.

Thank you for all the compliments! The layout is indeed connected with track pins at all the joints except where it is broken into four sections and connected at those points with insulating pins. Also, the tracks around the turntable are connected (at the module joints) using Gargraves fit up blades. The connecting sections just snap down in place. This makes connecting the sections here easier due to the angles at which the tracks are all joined.

Yes you can see pins in some of photos if you look very hard.
Very well done layout.
Having been a member of a traveling modular club I can really appreciate their layout. It is one thing to build a great looking and operation layout. However, it is a WHOLE NEW BALLGAME when you have to pack it up, transport it, unload and assemble it in a short period of time. We did that for nearly 20 years.
Great job, my hat goes off to the
Our traveling club (Independent Hi-Railers Midwest Division, which folded on September 1st 2014) was familiar with this group. We united with them and several other Hi-Rail clubs from the PA, NY & NJ area to do a show in New Brunswick NJ many years ago. THAT was one L-A-R-G-E layout.
Keep up the good work!!!
That was cool. I heard about that show.
Where is the Raritan club based at? I have seen them at the shows, but forget to ask.
The Raritan Valley Hi-Railers do not have a location. Rather, the club forms at train shows and special events with their modular layout.
Ah, well I will have to soak up in the mid-summer show with a ton of pictures. I love their work and try to get a bunch of shots as well as a video or two if my co-conventioners don't make me move faster than I want, lol.
That's a great layout and some very nice modelling. I like the 3-road locomotive shed my style of building!
Thanks for posting the photos. Roo.
Seeing all those photos and being made aware of that club's existence through your posting here was a real treat. Thank you, Phil. The level of detail and the outstanding structures were impressive, indeed.

One of things I like is how they stick all these modules together and it looks like a permanent layout. I can't wait to see their new editions at the August show, they have a big coaling building that spans over three or four of the tracks(saw that on their FB page).
