Do a web search for ' Walthers REA express reefer chromate ' and you'll see the color they used, which looks good to me from memory -- this was the "REA Express" era.  For the earlier darker color, repeat search with "...reefer hunter [ green ]".

The color 'chips' above are too yellowish, I think.

Can probably find a slide or two if you wish of the real thing, but cars probably have a good 'weathering', PRR style...

Edited to add:

I can't find the two REA car slides I'm looking for;  maybe when I stop looking....

And take my interpretation of "greens" with plenty of skepticism;  I know I have difficulty with browns and greys, so it wouldn't surprise me if I see greens incorrectly/differently as well.

Glad you found the color info you needed.  And I found one of the slides I was looking for, but it's not a chromate green car.  I had remembered the slide, and probably took it for the same reason, because it was a non-run-of-the-mill REA car:  One of the 50 cars ATSF built/rebuilt in '53 and then leased to REA.  They were returned to the ATSF in '69 -- this slide was taken in 2/68 -- repainted and put into the freight pool.  Interesting, but for the 'wrong' reason.
