Guess the town realized it needed the tourists the train brought in more than the railroad needed the town, especially since the RBM&N still managed to run its Santa trains just fine by moving ticketing out of Jim Thorpe. No ticketing, no commerce subject to the "entertainment" tax...
The 2102 will probably be used just a few times a year on longer excursions like from Reading Outer, etc. like 425. The LGSRY will probably be diesel powered for the most part.
2102 is supposed to debut this fall according to a recent press release from the RBM&N.
LGSR issue still not resolved:
