I'm set for the connector apocalypse, at least if it's JST-EH connectors. My order from AliExpress came in. Sizes from 2-pin to 10-pin and matching board connectors. The cupboard is no longer bare!

GRJ: I think things are starting to ease at the ports. There are plenty of container trains and TOFC running around the Horseshoe Curve. It's good to see that your stockpile of connectors will serve you well through the cold months ahead.
I think I'm good until the factories start churning out more product.
I just ordered some of my product boards, the prices went ballistic and finding some components is a major chore! I had to come up with substitutes for a number of components to get the builds done. I suspect unless something changes, my next build may not happen until well after I need it!
You'll be seeing connectors in your sleep😆
But I won't be having nightmares about not having them!
John; good to know these guys can still be found!

When most people hear about a coming apocalypse, they go out and buy milk, bread and toilet paper. But our favorite gun runner grabs up a load of electrical connectors to avert the trouble ahead. Way to go John! We all feel more secure with you on our side.
What about the crimp sockets for the connector shells; got them too?

But of course!
John,
Given the extreme speed at which you design and build electrical items, . . . I figure you only got about a 3 week supply!

Maybe a couple months...

@gunrunnerjohn How is ordering parts from Ali? I've never done it, but they often seem to stock things I can't find around here.

Same as ordering from anywhere else. Create an account and you can use PayPal to pay for stuff.
I thought my 3 or 4 were a lot!

There's several more scattered around in drawers somewhere here. I've had some of these tools for close to 50 years! I forgot all about the Ethernet crimp tools, phone cable crimp tools, and coax cable crimpers...
Crimpers-R-Us You can never have too many; kinda like trains!
I just ordered a small assortment of those JST connectors (and solderless pins). And then I saw the price of the recommended crimpers and my eyes bugged out $300? Whoa. There must be another way. I used exactly that type of crimper where I used to work and never imagined what they cost. I could have "borrowed" a pair and never thought to.
Phil, the Engineer PA-9 Crimp Tool is the tool I use for the JST-EH and JST-PH connectors. you can also use the IWISS IWS-2820M Crimp Tool for them. The $300 tools you see there are when I was building equipment for Wall St. trading firms and we had a huge volume of work.

Nice collection John. I would expect nothing less. I've collected several over the years for various tasks, coax, cat-5, barrel and rings, etc.

Most of the crimp tools I used to use were more on the industrial scale.

I never needed anything on that scale.
