I'am running a legacy system at16.8 volt an would like to run my real trax on a separate transformer. I like to know what volts to run the switches an the pro & con of this system. Thank you for any help.

PETE,
I tried to use the RealTrax switches thought they looked pretty nice and I have an inner circle of RealTrax on both my 1st & 2nd Levels, unfortunately I ran into some problems with them, they do not repetitively accommodate my Tin Plate Trains, Original Lionel or MTH Reproduction. Also there was no real wireless Command Control for the MTH switches, and I wanted that capability thru out my entire layout. I went fully into FasTrack and low voltage, wireless, Command Control switches after that time I will probably make some transition track to use FT Command Control Switches with the inner loops, in the near future. If you are going to run Tin Plate there are just some switches you can not use. I set my Transformer between 16 - 18 V thru out my layout, an expect my switches to run with that power.
