Have been playing with Scenery Sheets for realistic bricks/stones for O gauge layout. Anyone have suggestions of more realistic sheets of bricks? I'm open to not using paper but some sort of adhesive brick wall?

The sheets from the N scale architect are pretty good. But honestly, theres no substitute for hydrocal. You can buy solid brick walls from Downtown Deco. Those are gonna be the most realistic.
Try Clever Brothers Models…
Try Scenic Express - they have a selection of 1/2" thick foam walls of different materials and textures, including red brick.
do you have a link to scenic?
Not sure I can post a direct link under TOS - try looking for scenery express on the internet.
@stubbygdaThat really looks great. I looked on the website for Rail Scale Models and I saw the walls but they don’t come in that color. How did you get the color so realistic?
yea they come unpainted. i paint the base color of the brick that i want. i think for this building it was rust. then i add accent color if desired. i just use a small stuff brush and randomly put it over the base paint. i think for this building i used railroad tie brown. then i use light weight spackling from a big box hardware store for the grout. i try on base coat to not paint too heavy and as much as possible stay out of grout lines so more room for spackling. i pretty much work the spackling over the whole surface and keep wiping until most all of it is off with my finger/thumb except in grout lines. don’t let the spackling dry or it won’t come off very well so work small areas at a time. it is a little time consuming but generally comes out pretty good. i think once ya try it you will find the hang of it. i did tons of this inside and outside the buildings on my sugar beet factory. all these buildings done that way also inside lol
@stubbygda that's incredible work. Wow.
Dennis Brennan provides very detailed instructions with his building kits. This was his suggestion for Richmond Packing Company.....one of his Frank Ellison Delta Lines series kits
White Primer
These three: Caramel, Flat Red and Camo Earth Brown……

Flat Red
The Camo Earth Brown is just dusted on.......
Here is the finished building.....
Here is what Dennis recommended to simulate a "filled in" window.......
I lthought it was a great idea......

Monster Model Works basswood old brick sheet. ALl the details (lintels, cornices, dental work) as well as the windows are cut on a laser cutter:
Obviosuly this building is nowhere near finished!
Valuable thread. Glad to learn all the various vendors, products, and methods.

When you do a close up of the finished product it looks real. That’s remarkable craftsmanship.
