Realtrax lockon light | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

A friend of mine that doesn't use a computer has a lockon that doesn't light. He wants to replace the bulb and asked how to open it up. I don't use realtrax so I can't help.

Do you just pull the lantern off or do you have to open it up? Is the bulb like a Christmas light?

Yes, the lockon signal style light just lifts off. Note it kinda snaps in and depending on how hot the bulb got, may have deformed.

Yes, just a wedge style light bulb.

Just the bare bulb and reuse your old wedge socket
