I have repaired several of these with Cat epoxy (or any other good epoxy such as marine tex etc). it can be molded and shaped easily into the shape you need and then drilled and tapped if you wish. I have not had one fail yet.
A trick that may work for you is to buy some plastruck or evergreen plastic tubing to replace the screw posts. Some guys even use plastic straws and fill them with expoxy, then tap a hole. I used the tubing to make body posts for slot cars and it held up.

And if you don't like drilling you can let the epoxy set a bit then put oil on the threads of the screw you are going to use. Screw in the screw leaving a bit of space for the thickness of the frame. Let set overnight and unscrew.
This has worked for me.
